An arrest has been made after a convenience store employee was bitten last week.
Windsor police say officers located and arrested the suspect in the 400 block of Wyandotte Street East on Wednesday, August 5.
Police say the 33-year-old woman is charged with assault and theft under $5,000.
As AM800 news reported last Friday, she was wanted after officers responded to a panic alarm at a business in the 900 block of Wyandotte Street East shortly before 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28.
Investigators said a woman entered the store, placed an item into her backpack, and tried to leave without paying.
According to police, a store employee tried to stop her, and a struggle ensued and continued outside the business.
Police said the suspect scratched the employee and bit her finger before fleeing the area with the stolen item.
