Two men have been arrested following a violent home invasion earlier this week.
Windsor Police say they threatened and assaulted the homeowners, fired a gun, and forced a victim to open a safe before making off with a significant amount of cash and other property.
The Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit quickly identified two of the suspects involved.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on March 31, police located and arrested a suspect in the 5400 block of Reginald Street. A second suspect was taken into custody at approximately 12 p.m. the following day by the OPP-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad in Kemptville, Ontario.
A 34-year-old and a 55-year-old are each multiple charges such as robbery with an offensive weapon, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, pointing a firearm, and others.
Police say a third suspect was the getaway driver and remains outstanding.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police or Crime Stoppers.
