The Windsor Spitfires will pick 16th in the 2026 OHL Draft.
The Ontario Hockey League announced Thursday afternoon the results of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection Draft Lottery, with the Oshawa Generals drawing the first overall selection.
The Generals came away as big winners, and are poised to select first overall for the first time since 2005 when they selected John Tavares, who went on to become the OHL's all-time leading goal-scorer.
The Generals had the highest chance of being selected first after finishing 20th overall in the 2025-26 season. The Erie Otters, the Brampton Steelheads, and the Sarnia Sting were the additional teams hoping to get the first overall selection.
The final results were determined by a computerized random number generator.
The OHL Priority Selection returns to an in-person experience for the first time in 25 years, being held at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston on June 12 and 13.
