Unifor Local 444 is calling it “a well-deserved agreement” for its members at NextStar Energy in Windsor.
The workers at the east end battery plant ratified a new three-year collective agreement on Thursday.
According to a social media post from Local 444, the deal includes significant gains across the board.
The union says the agreement has wage increases, accelerated wage progression, increased benefits, productivity/signing bonuses, annual inflation protection bonuses, maintained performance bonuses, and enhanced skilled trades compensation.
The deal also includes improved pension contributions and workplace and language improvements.
A tentative deal was reached between the union and company late last month.
In July 2025, workers at the plant ratified a one-year agreement that included a one-time wage increase of five per cent, lump sum payments, and pension improvements.
Local 444 represents 800 workers at the battery facility.
