Driver charged in bus shelter crash

A hit and run driver in downtown Windsor has turned themselves in. 

Police were called to the area of University Ave. W. and Bruce Ave. on March 1st around 6:15 p.m. for a white sedan that drove into a bus shelter, shattering the glass panel. 

Investigators say after the crash, a male passenger moved into the driver's seat while the female driver entered the passenger seat.

Last Friday, a 22-year old female appeared at Windsor Police headquarters. 

Police say she's charged with careless driving.
