Yzerman won three Stanley Cups with the Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings have a new General Manager.
The club has announced former captain Steve Yzerman as the team's new GM.
He takes over for Ken Holland.
The 53-year-old stepped down as GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning prior to the 2018-19 season moving into a senior adviser role.
Yzerman spent his entire 22-year playing career in Detroit, winning three Stanley Cups.
Holland has been Detroit's GM since 1997.
He will remain with the team as Senior Vice President.
