A 12-year-old St. John Vianney school student has turned a life changing medical threat into a way to give back.
McKenna Lumley was diagnosed with a form of brain tumour when she was only four.
After two major surgeries and rehabilitation she wanted to give back to support the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
McKenna says she got help from her friends.
"I always wanted to raise money and help and then one day two of my friends came running up to my desk at lunch and said hey we should do a fundraiser. Start with bracelets and then tattoos and it turned into Glitter Tattoos"
McKenna says this is rewarding for her.
"It feels great, it's a real honour, I enjoy it and glitter tattoos are a lot of fun, I love getting covered in glitter"
McKenna's mom, Karen Metcalfe, says it's become quite the production.
