The Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation is taking part in International Economic Development Week.
A number of events are planned throughout the week on top of today's kickoff at Level One Robotics.
WEEDC President and CEO Stephen Mackenzie says this is about making people aware of the work they do.
"It's a week long event designed to promote and share resources with our business community," says MacKenzie. "It's to build awareness of services offered by the various economic development agencies in the region. It promotes the work that's planned for the coming year."
He says the celebrations involve a constellation of partners.
"We have a terrific week planned and we've worked with a lot of partners, all of the local agencies Workforce Windsor-Essex, WeTech Alliance, the province, all nin municipalities the Accelerator and the university and the collage, United Way, Connecting Windsor Essex are all promoting, helping promote it."
Mackenzie says there will be several more events taking place, focused on specific areas such as the tech community.
