Mike McEwan, Reid Carruthers and Olympic champion Brad Jacobs will be in attendance

Some revamped Canadian men's curling squads will be on display as the first Grand Slam event on the 2018-19 World Curling Tour kicks off Wednesday at 7pm with the Elite 10 at St Clair Campus Arena in Chatham.

One of the new teams in action will feature Manitoba playdowns, Mike McEwen and Reid Carruthers who have joined forces. 

They'll take on 2014 Olympic champion Brad Jacobs.
