Construction has begun on the largest residential development in Windsor in 12 years.
Eastside Horizons will consist of three towers, with a total of 180 luxury condo units on Banwell Rd and Firgrove.
Value of the project is between $35-million and $40-million.
A groundbreaking ceremony took place Wednesday morning on site to also announce that half of the units have already been sold.
"In the first tower, we have sold 59 of 60 units and the second tower we have sold 50% already," says East Side Company President Jason Poon.
He says construction on the first tower should be completed by the end of 2019 and the whole project should be finished by the end of 2020.

With two major flooding incidents in east Windsor in the past few years, Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens says the city's storm sewer can handle it.
"All of those studies have to be provided so this is not just Mr Poon or Drew Dilkens saying I want the development and trying to cut corners," says Dilkens. "They have to provide all of the studies that justify, from an engineering perspective, that the sewer system can sustain a development of this magnitude."
Sale price of each unit begins at $240,000.
Despite pressure to expand Banwell Rd to four lanes from Tecumseh Road to the EC Row Expressway, Dilkens says a traffic study found the expansion wasn't necessary, but the city will continue to monitor the situation.
