A 27-year-old woman has been charged after causing a disturbance at a gas station in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to a Richmond Street gas station Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, a woman wanted to buy cigarettes but was denied when she could not provide photo identification.
Police say the woman then started yelling at the cashier and swung her fist at the worker but struck the plexiglass barrier instead.
She then went to the cooler area and drank two containers of chocolate milk without paying for them.
The woman of no fixed address has been charged with theft under $5000, being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and assault.
She remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
