A number of local businesses and professionals have been recognized.
On Wednesday, the 28th annual Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards were handed out.
This year there were 12 award recipients including Wolfhead Distillery which received the New Business of the Year Award.
Vice-President Larry Girard says it's a huge honour. "Our team is made up of the best people that we can possibly get and we empower them with everything we can do and they're the ones that make us excel in this business."
"If you don't support local and we don't support each other then nobody will have success in our area," says Girard. "So we have to make sure we have synergies between every single company and we have to support each other and that's what we make at Wolfhead, our pride."
