A toast to cross border relations at the J.P. Wiser's Experience Centre on Riverside Dr. near Walker Rd.
The company organized its Hold it High marketing campaign to honour the relationships people share and chose to kick it off by cherishing the bond between Detroit and Windsor.
Master Blender Don Livermore tells AM800 News the partnership spans generations.
"We've had great partnerships with the city of Detroit and we want to 'Hold it High' to our friends and thank them for all the things over the past and certainly toasting to the future," He says.
Livermore says Hiram Walker himself was a former Detroiter.

"There have been several different brands of whiskey throughout the years, award winning whiskeys, and we continue to look forward to making those whiskeys into the future."
He says the Hold it High website will have a fun twist for Canadians to enjoy when it's launched.
"You can put a message to your friends and family and we're going to put those messages on billboards all around Canada and we're going to say toast and hold it high to your friends' and thank you for all the things you've done with them over the past number of years," he added.
The company's ready to drink Old Fashioned cocktail is set to be released in the coming weeks - with a 650 case run of its award winning J.P. Wiser's 35-year-old whiskey to follow.
Fifty-people, consisting of business owners, politicians, and residents were mirrored on the Detroit side at Belle Isle for the toast.
