Timo Meier had a goal and an assist to help the Sharks earn a 5-3 win over the Red Wings in San Jose.
Meier assisted on Kevin Labanc's goal in the second period and padded the San Jose lead with a goal in the third.
Joonas Donskoi, Eric Fehr and Chris Tierney also lit the lamp for the Sharks, who are second in the Pacific Division with 83 points.
Trevor Daley, Gustav Nyquist and Henrik Zetterberg each scored a goal for Detroit.
The Wings have lost seven straight and have 63 points, 15 out of a wild card spot in the East.
They continue their road trip Thursday night against the Kings in Los Angeles.
