Windsorites marched in solidarity with Americans against the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
Close to 200 people took to the riverfront Saturday with anti-Trump signs and a message of peaceful protest.
Organizer, Elaine Weeks, says she fears a Trump presidency.
Weeks says it is important for people, especially women, to stand up to what she calls "Trump's hateful rhetoric".
"We and they are not going to take what has been happening in the U.S. with the election sitting down," says Weeks. "So we are up walking in solidarity."
She says whatever happens in the U.S. always has a direct impact on Canada.
"We are connected with the U.S., " says Weeks. "We are one mile away, we work over there, we have family over there, we eat over there, we basically want to stand united with them."
Weeks says she is devastated that Trump is now President.
" I get a feeling of horror when I think about the results of the U.S. election and I feel like this is a nightmare where I cannot wake up."
Windsor wasn't the only march in Canada, Toronto drew at least 6,000 people while around 8,000 attended a rally in Ottawa.
The Women's March on Washington saw about a half million people.
