A Windsor company has been fined $40,000 after an employee was injured on the job.
It happened at Roma Tiles on Howard Ave. in June of 2017.
An employee was working on a quartz bar when a the blade on a grinder broke, striking the employee. He suffered a permanent injury.
A Ministry of Labour investigation found the equipment wasn't being used properly and the employee hadn't been properly trained.
The company pleaded guilty to not taking reasonable precautions to protect a worker.
