A 16-year old boy has been charged following two armed robberies in Windsor.
On the afternoon of Tuesday May 21st, officers learned that a teen approached a man on Randolph St. at Wyandotte St. West, pulled out a handgun, and robbed the victim of some property.
Minutes later, a similar call came in about a second man being robbed of some property by teenager with a gun in the area of Sunset Ave and Wyandotte St. West.
A description of the suspect was similar in both robberies.
Police say a suspect was found hiding in a ditch in a field off Felix Ave and Edison St. and was in possession of the reported stolen property and a fake handgun.
A 16-year old from Windsor is charged with two counts each of robbery with weapon and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
Due to the fact that the accused is a young offender, he cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
