Head Coach Trevor Letowski stood by statements that his boys are doing all the right things, but aren't getting the bounces, but the bounces went their way Sunday.
Jordan Frasca got Windsor on the board mid-way through the first, but that lead was short-lived as Owen Sound's Markus Phillips tied things up on the powerplay. Chris Playfair would score to end the first with the Spitfires up 2-1.
A nearly silent Spitfires offence snapped out if in the third beginning with goals from Mathew MacDougall and Curtis Douglas to make it 4-1.
Douglas and Frasca would both add their second of the game to cruise to a 6-1 finish.
Michael DiPietro made 33 saves in the win.
