Windsor's Lionel Sanders overcame a large deficit from the swim and a flat tire on the bike to win the Penticton ITU long distance triathlon world championship on Sunday.
Sanders completed the race in 5:20:36 for the first championship of his career.
As far as the race breakdown, he ran a race-best 1:45:34 for 30 kilometres, clocked 40:40 for the 3 km swim and rode 2:51:12 for the 120 km bike, which included the time it took him to change a flat tire.
