A boost to the local Coats for Kids Campaign.
Windsor's Muslim Community dropped off 300 coats to the Unemployed Help Centre Thursday morning.
The coats were collected by the Al-Hijra and An-Noor Islamic schools, along with the Rose City Islamic Centre and Windsor Islamic Association.
"As Muslims it is our duty to help those who are less fortunate. We have to do this," says Amney Behiry, vice principal of An-Noor Islamic School.
In the past ten years, the local Muslim community has donated 4,500 coats to the cause.
"It is always amazing when we are here, we always see those who are in need of these coats and it makes us feel so amazing to be able to help."
