According to Stats Canada, Windsor's unemployment rate stood at 5.4% in December 2018, compared to 6.0% in November 2018.
The national rate remained steady at 5.6%, a 43-year low as the economy closed out 2018 — its lowest level since StatsCan started measuring data in January 1976.
In 2018, the country added 163,000 net new jobs.
