A colourful event in downtown Windsor will happen later rather than sooner.
The Colour Run was originally scheduled for July 21st, but some timing and scheduling issues have pushed it to September 1st.
The owner of Running Flat, the company responsible for bringing the run here says it's an important event for Windsor as it brings about 4,000 people to the downtown and it is family-friendly.
Chris Uszynski says it will be just as colourful as always.
"It is the Color Run, it is the identical event, it is just that the registration process will be done through runningflat.com."
Uszynski says in previous years, the event attracted 4,000 people to the downtown.
"The event is so family oriented, you see a grandparent, along with a parent, kids, kids in strollers, all doing this together and it very non-competitive, there is no clock, it is not timed."

Once again, the Alzheimer Society is the benefiting charity for the run.
