Windsor has revived an old relationship with one of its sister cities.

A delegation from Saltillo, Mexico visited the city this week to sign an agreement re-affirming its 25 year relationship — a relationship that fizzled over the years.

Chair of the International Relations Committee Fred Francis says these agreements broadens people's cultural and international perspective and lays the groundwork for growth for our educational, tourism, cultural and economic sectors.

"It kind of fell dormant in the 25 years, so we are able to reinvigorate it and when we sent out the invitations for participation for the Children's Art Exhibit, one of the first response we got back was from the representatives from Saltillo saying this is a great idea, we love that children are the focus of it," says Francis.
