A fence behind a Wyandotte St. East business is now home to a unique piece of art work using recycled water bottles.
The chainlink fence behind the May Court Club was decorated by shoving spray painted water bottles into the links of the fence, placed in the image of a large pink rose.
Julie Butler saw the idea onlineĀ and decided to replicate it in an alley to beautify the alley, deter crime and recycle.

"They are shoving them into the links of the chain link fence almost like LiteBright that childhood game, so we are creating the image of a large pink rose," says Butler.
She says although it may not be permanent, she's pleased with it.
"If somebody is inclined to pull the bottles out, they can," she says. "But it is a cheap project and it is about community involvement and if it doesn't last, that's still ok because we have made our mark for a little while."

Butler says she would encourage people out there who have the talent and have the time, to step forward because "Windsor is only as strong as its weakest neighbourhood."
The group of residents used a cross-stitch pattern to create the design on the fence.
