New banners will be popping up at Windsor Regional Hospital as a way to thank the staff and community.
President & CEO David Musyj since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the community has supported hospital staff.
"When they're going through tough times themselves, they've been there 110 per cent behind the staff and supporting them be it just the simple as driving by, honking your horn, the signage, the comments, the statements in the community," says Musyj.
He says staff appreciates the support from the community.
"The community support giving frontline staff meals, etc., it just was one thing after another, supporting the Windsor-Essex community supporting the frontline staff," says Musyj.
"The frontline staff and celebrating them and also thanking the Windsor-Essex community for all their support because we're going to need it moving forward," he adds.
The banners to be placed at both campuses are expected to be up within the next couple of months and will have different messages on them including "Together We Stand Strong," "Thank-You Windsor-Essex for Your Support" and "Heroes Work Here."
