A Windsor psychotherapist is facing a disciplinary hearing for professional misconduct after allegedly having sex with two of her patients while in her care.
Elisabeth Haramic had her membership to the College of Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Mental Health Therapists of Ontario revoked in April. (2017)
She had allegedly made false statements in her application.
The allegations are part of an 11 page Notice of Hearing issued by the College's discipline committee.
A date for the hearing hasn't been set yet.
A complaint in June 2011 also alleges Haramic was drunk while serving alcohol to members of a therapy group before treating patients.
Haramic is also alleged to have falsely identified herself as a doctor and threaten one of her patients with abusive communications — allegedly saying "Whatever you do to me, I will do ten times worse to you ----face. You have never experience my wrath on you. Never."
A list of other quotes attributed to Haramic are included in the Notice of Hearing documents.
The discipline panel reviewing the case could level a number of penalties including a fine of no more than 35-thousand-dollars as well as demanding the College be reimbursed for patient care funding if sexual abuse is determined to have taken place.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
