WINDSOR — The City of Windsor is getting ready for a work stoppage at the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board next week.
Catholic teachers across the province, including Windsor-Essex, will be taking part in a one-day strike action on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 if no deal is reached with the province.
It means all Catholic elementary and high schools would be closed.
If that happens, the EarlyON Child and Family Centres located with the Catholic system would also be closed.
They are located at Holy Names Catholic Elementary School in Essex, H.J Lassaline Catholic School in Windsor, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Windsor, Sacred Heart in LaSalle and St. Pius in Tecumseh.
Parents with children at child care centres in Catholic schools should call the child care centre directly to determine if they will be open.
The city is taking registrations for day camp programs on January 21st for children ages 4 and up. The day camps are scheduled for the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex and the Optimist Community Centre.
