Two people are facing a total of 16 charges after a vehicle stop uncovered drugs and stolen property.
According to Windsor police, officers pulled over a vehicle around 5:45 p.m. on Friday (Jan 8) in the area of Mercer Avenue and Tuscarora Street.
Officers found that a license plate attached to the vehicle had been reported stolen and a man and a woman were arrested without incident.
While continuing the investigation, officers also seized illicit drugs, a quantity of Canadian currency, and a prohibited weapon. Police also say another licence plate reported stolen was in the vehicle.
A 26-year-old man and 36-year-old woman, both from Windsor, are facing charges including possession of stolen property and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
