The Windsor Police Service is urging the public to be safe when taking part in vehicle convoys honouring essential workers.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, several groups have organized caravans to display appreciation for frontline workers battling the virus.
Health professionals still recommend you stay home except for essential needs, and police are reminding residents physical gatherings of more than five people are a violation under the current Provincial Emergency Order.
Police say if you are part of a caravan, be sure follow the rules of the road, keep the route short with a limited number of vehicles, and stay in your car for the entire event.
Violations carry a fine of $750, but police say they prefer to educate and issue a warning before handing out tickets.
