A Windsor Police officer is facing additional charges in relation to an ongoing investigation.
In August 2023, the Windsor Police Service requested that the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigate allegations of breach of trust involving an officer.
An investigation began, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
In April 2026, an initial charge of breach of trust, contrary to section 122 of the Criminal Code (CC), was laid in relation to the investigation.
As part of the ongoing investigation, on August 28, Constable Kenneth Campo was charged with two counts of breach of trust, unauthorized use of a computer, and attempt to obstruct justice.
Campo is suspended without pay, in accordance with the Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA).
The 45-year-old from Essex County was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on September 22.
