A CO2 gun has been seized by police after an active investigation on Thursday in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Moy Avenue.
Windsor police said they were called to the area with a report of a person carrying a gun. An 18-year-old man was found and confirmed to be the subject of the report. Police confirmed the gun was a CO2 rifle.
The public was alerted of the investigation on Thursday morning, asking the public to avoid the area. The investigation was wrapped up and cleared around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) confirmed with CTV News that Honourable W.C. Kennedy Collegiate, Hugh Beaton Public, and John Campbell Public Schools were all on hold and secure for a period of time at the advice of Windsor police.
The investigation has wrapped and Windsor police thank the public for their patience and cooperation during the incident.
