In the event Windsor wins the Memorial Cup Sunday evening, Windsor police are hoping for a calm celebration.
There are no plans to beef up the number of officers in the core area to deal with revellers.
Constable Andrew Drouillard says Windsorites have been well behaved in previous victory celebrations. He says they trust people will act properly.
"Our expectations are people will celebrate as they have in the past," says Drouillard. "We have a great and proud track record of celebrating responsibly."
He says police are there if something out of line happens.
"Our citizens do a great job of keeping the celebrations safe and legal, but in the event something goes awry we encourage people to give us a call and we'll respond accordingly," says Drouillard. "We treat it the way we would on a Friday or Saturday night."
Drouillard says there have been numerous victory celebrations in Windsor and people have always acted appropriately.
