A Windsor police officer with a keen eye helped to take an illegal gun and drugs off city streets.
Windsor police noticed a vehicle on Wyandotte St. in the downtown Tuesday around 8:30 a.m. with expired licence plates and fresh damage to the front windshield.
Police stopped the vehicle on Wyandotte near Randolph Ave and learned the man and woman inside were under a court order not to associate with one another.
A search of the vehicle found a loaded shotgun, ammunition, a prohibited knife and suspected cocaine.
A 34-year-old Windsor man and 30-year-old Windsor woman face a total of 20 drug and weapon charges.
