Notch one up for Windsor police dog Fuse.
On Monday at 6:15am, the driver of a red Ford F-150 pick-up truck parked his vehicle in a parking lot on Dougall Ave.
He left the keys in the ignition and the engine running as he entered a business.
The driver left the business moments later to find the truck being driven away. He called police.
At around 4pm, the driver called police again after locating the stolen truck on University Ave. W. The complainant also saw a man carrying items from inside the stolen vehicle.
Police arrived and the suspect fled on foot.
Officers established a perimeter and called in Windsor police dog Fuse and his handler. They were able to locate the suspect hiding in a yard.
Kristopher Middleton, a 31-year-old male from Windsor, is charged with possession of stolen property valued over $5000 and possession of stolen property valued under $5000.
