A Windsor man is facing charges following a robbery investigation that left a Windsor police dog hurt.
Officers were called to a restaurant on Ojibway Parkway Saturday at 3:30pm for an attempted robbery where a suspect entered and demanded money from an employee.
He left without any money and was seen walking in the middle of the roadway, stopping traffic by yelling and kicking at vehicles.
Police arrived and tried to arrest the suspect who did not comply.
He then pulled out a knife and was waving it around.
Police dog Hasko was used to try and help and suffered minor injuries.
Police finally used a taser to gain control of the man who was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Alexander Gusba, 29, of Windsor, is charged with attempt to commit an indictable offence, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and injuring an animal.
