Windsor police are experiencing higher call volumes.
Chief Al Frederick says last weekend alone, there were just under 600 calls city-wide.
He says the calls varied from missing persons to fights and domestic related.
Frederick says 600 calls is high for a two day period and it does stretch resources.
"Our calls for service peaked in the early 2000's and we're reaching those levels again," says Frederick.
He says police respond to all calls but it may take longer than normal.
"We have more to police than just the downtown core and we have to be available city wide," says Frederick. "When we're getting 600 calls for service to our emergency lines in a two day period takes significant resources."
Frederick says last weekend, police arrested 26 people and took them into custody.
He says there eight fight calls, 28 domestic related calls and four high risk missing person calls.
