A registered nurse has been charged by Windsor police in connection with the alleged assault of a child with special needs who was under her care.
An investigation was launched in April 2026 by the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) after a report was made involving the alleged mistreatment of a child with significant medical needs.
Investigators subsequently determined that there was sufficient evidence to believe the child was physically assaulted while under the nurse’s care.
A 51-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with assault.
Police say in order to protect the identity of the victim additional information regarding the investigation will not be provided.
