A sexual assault of a youth investigation has led to charges against a 41-year-old man.
Windsor police say officers with the Amherstburg Detachment responded to a report of a sexual assault involving a 15-year-old girl on August 16 just after 2 p.m.
According to police, investigators learned that the youth had been sexually assaulted by a man known to her.
Investigators say the man allegedly requested and received intimate images and videos of the victim through a social media platform.
Police say the teenage girl later disclosed the incidents to her mother, who contacted authorities.
The man was located by officers on the same day and was arrested.
He’s charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and telecommunication with a person under the age of 18.
