Windsor police caught a couple of suspect thieves napping.
On Tuesday, officers were dispatched to an alleyway off Howard Ave. near Niagara St.
It had been reported a license plate stolen the previous Friday was bolted on a vehicle parked in the alley.
Officers approached the vehicle and opened the unlocked doors, finding two men inside asleep.
The pair were notified they were under arrest for possession of stolen property.
Further investigation determined the vehicle itself was stolen.
Among the other items in the vehicle, a replica handgun was seized.
Richard Rubik, 43, and 26-year-old Owen Cazes face multiple charges of possession of stolen property.
