The hunt for a man wanted for attempted murder in Windsor is over.
When police arrived they found a man outside of a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Acting on information from the public, police located Elliott at a home in the 400 block of Wyandotte Street West just before 12 a.m. Friday night.
Police say patrol officers established contact with Elliott and arrested him without incident.
Wyandotte Street West at Church Street was closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation.
The 46-year-old from Windsor is charged with attempted murder, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm.
The Major Crime Branch is still actively investigating the incident.
