OPP and Windsor police join forces to nab speeders
If you got stopped on the Expressway of 401 last Friday you weren't alone.
The O.P.P. and Windsor police were conducting a joint forces traffic operation.
They had radar set up on the EC Row Expressway at Central Avenue and on the 401 near Manning Road.
A total of 48 vehicles were stopped and nearly 100 enforcement actions taken.
One where the driver was going more than 50 km/h over the speed limit, another with a suspended driver charged and another with a driver without insurance.
A couple of RIDE programs were also done with more than 400 vehicles checked and one impaired driver charged.
