A man and woman from Windsor are facing charges of drug importation and trafficking after a package from China was intercepted in Vancouver.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) mail centre in Vancouver isolated the package and determined it contained 14 grams of Fentanyl.
With the standard medical dose of the drug at 100 micrograms, it is the equivalent of 140,000 doses.
The CBSA partnered with the RCMP and officers from the Windsor detachment executed a search warrant in the 4000 block of Mitchell Crescent, near Mount Carmel Drive.
25-year-old Mark Ryn and 27-year-old Beth Vandelinder were arrested Monday.
They are charged with importation and possession for the purpose of trafficking drugs and conspiracy to import Fentanyl.
