A Windsor police officer charged with two counts of assault has retired.
John Jubenville retired from the serviceĀ on February 28 after 29 years of service.
He was charged in February 2017 after an internal investigation stemming from two on-duty incidents. The alleged incidents are from November 2016 and February 2017.
Chief Al Frederick stresses Jubenville's retirement has nothing to do with the charges before the courts.
Jubenville was suspended with pay when he was charged.
His next court appearance is set for late April.
