Newly named WDBA CEO Bryce Phillips takes over next month

After 6 months with an interim CEO, the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority is getting a new permanent boss.

Windsor native Bryce Phillips takes over the authority July 16th from Andre Juneau.

Phillips has 35 years experience in infrastructure management, mostly in the nuclear field.

He has held key leadership positions at the Darlington and Pickering Nuclear plants.

His most recent position was as Vice President of Kinectrics, an electrical testing, engineering and inspection firm, where oversaw major infrastructure projects globally.

WDBA Board Chair Dwight Duncan says Phillips has "considerable experience in both infrastructure and complex engineering projects, and a strong track record of success in leadership positions."

Phillips says being from Windsor he "understands the importance of and the need for a new efficient border transportation system in this region."

Phillips comes on board just as the WDBA is about the name the successful proponent for building the $4.5-billion Gordie Howe International Bridge.
