A Windsor grandmother is asking for the public's help.
Nicole Greenhill has started a GoFundMe page for her pregnant daughter and her two grandsons.
She says they lost everything after a fire ripped through their home on Curry Ave. near Tecumseh Rd W last Thursday.
Greenhill says her daughter was living in a Windsor Housing Unit.
"They didn't have any renters insurance because she's currently on assistance and couldn't afford it," says Greenhill. "She just started a part time job but doesn't have much money and so they lost everything in the fire."
Greenhill says they were home when the fire started.
"The boys had just got out of the bath and were pretty much naked," says Greenhill. "So she had to wrap them up real quick in blankets and her boyfriend thank god was there at the time as well, so he had his car so they threw the kids in the car and got them all out safely."
Greenhill says her daughter and grandsons are staying with her for the time being.
The fundraising goal is $5000.
The fire caused $100,000 in damages and was listed as undetermined.
Greenhill says her daughter appreciates the support from the community.
