A Windsor mom will return to the picket line this morning.
Denise Zitko, whose daughter is in grade 12 at St. Joseph's High School, is showing her support for striking workers at the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board.
Zitko took part in weekend pickets at three different schools and describes the way the strike is being handled as "terrible. I am sick to my stomach that they would disrupt any students life any more than they already have. That would be the school board."
Zitko says, despite school board claims prior to the strike that it would be' business as usual', that has not been the case since day one of the walkout.
370 clerical workers, technicians, custodians and maintenance staff have been off the job for 9 days.
Wages are among the main issues.
