A Windsor man has been sentenced to nine years in prison in a brutal fatal stabbing downtown..
26-year old Colin Chrisjohn pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of 32-year-old Amir Hayat Malik after the two men got into a fight.
The court heard they had been drinking together, when a fight broke out and Chrisjohn stabbed Malik 16 times and beat him.
Malik's body was then dragged to an area behind a Brant St business where two electricians found him in June 2015.
Malik's sister Humira Malik says Chrisjohn does not deserve any leniency.
"This mother f$%^r didn't stop," she says. "He stabbed once and then again and again. You know how much strength it takes to do that? He stabbed again and again and again and again and now he is remorseful, where the f$%^& was your remorse when you stabbed him 18 times."
"How do you stab somebody 17-18 times, slit their throat three times, give them blunt force trauma after death and say that it was manslaughter."
The court heard Chrisjohn has a criminal record of assaults and he was described as having a "dr. jekyll and mr hyde" personality."
Defence lawyer Laura Joy says it was a well reasoned sentence given the high level of violence.
With credit for time already served, Chrisjohn will spend another 6 years and 199 days in custody.
