A reminder this Labour Day weekend — blood donations are always in need.
Windsor's Jeff Scott hit the 200 donation milestone on Tuesday when he made his regular trip to the clinic on Grand Marais Rd. E.
Scott says he's had members of his family need blood while in hospital and stresses many times when there's a car crash — there's a need for blood.
The 62-year-old says the first time he donated was in his college days at St. Clair College before he moved out to Calgary in 1981 for work.
He is very regimented in his donations and expects to be making quite a few more trips to the clinic. "Age-wise I could probably stop at 272 [donations]," says Scott.

Canadian Blood Services says each blood donation can save up to three lives.
Scott urges anyone considering donating to do it — because as the Canadian Blood Services tag line says, "It's in you to give."
CBS says there are more than 470 open appointments needing to be filled in Windsor with clinics planned all week, including Wednesday from 3pm - 7pm at 3909 Grand Marais Rd. E.
CBS says it can take up to 50 donors to save a car crash victim while cancers like leukemia can take up to 8 donors a week during treatment.
