A Windsor man has been sentenced to six years in prison after a shooting near the city's east side.
Ryan Murphy, 42, pleaded guilty to attempted murder following the shooting in October 2017 on Tecumseh Rd. East near George Ave.
Court heard Murphy and the victim, a 35 year old man, knew each other and didn't get along.
They ran into each other in a pharmacy where an argument broke out.
The argument spilled outside where the victim was shot once through the hand and into his abdomen.
His hand was shattered and the victim was afraid to testify in court.
Murphy will be given credit for time already served, so he has another 58 months to serve.
In addition to the prison term, Murphy has a weapons prohibition for life.
