A Windsor man has been sentenced to two years in prison for child luring and child porn charges.
23-year-old Christopher Metivier had earlier pleaded guilty to child luring, possession of child porn and making child porn following a province-wide investigation.
He was arrested in September 2014 after police seized 68 photos, 7 videos and 21 skype videos containing what the judge called "degrading and vile" images.
He was originally facing 86 counts but the rest were withdrawn.
The court heard Metivier would go onto Skype forums looking for males under the age of 17 to engage in sexual acts.
He minimized the crime because he said he never met any of the victims face-to-face and there was never any physical contact.
But Justice Sharman Bondy says this crime is not victimless. She said society can't tolerate this because our children deserve better.
Metivier's lawyer Evan Weber says Metivier wants to change.
"He is embarrassed about his conduct," said Weber. "This is something that has been in his life for a number of years and he wants to become healthier."
"He has 100% come to an understanding that it is inappropriate, harmful and wrong and I'm confident that he will improve as a result of this."
After his sentence, Metivier hugged his father before heading to custody.
He will be on probation for three years after his release.
